are you smart, or you make yourself smart?
I’ve wanted to write about this for a while now. This topic gave me such a great deal of thinking mainly because of its existence. I wonder how others look at it. But this is how I feel…

A person might say that the level of knowledge that another has would be higher than what he has. Why is that person saying so? Is it because of the other score more in the written examinations? Or is it because the effort given by the other is more than what that the person might put into?

Well for me everyone is on the same level. The only thing that will differentiate between the two individuals are how they use their mind. The reason that I’m saying this is because even how much effort you put in, it doesn’t ensure you place in the highest rank. Some people with less effort may be above you. Logically, this is unfair. But life has its own way of doing magic. Some questions are not answered.

So what should you do? If I was in that position, I would balance both. To be successful, you need brains and effort. Even if you have brains, but you’re not using it, then there’s no use. Everything needs balance. As a law student, even justice needs balance. This is what we call yin and yang. You can see it in the existence of men and women. I would put my effort into reaching my goals and use my brain at the same time. There is no such thing as no plan. There is always a plan on what do to, when to do it, and how to do it. So think.

The next question is does people who take things easily will always have it their own way? Here, I disagree. In everything you do, you need to put some effort into it. Effort drives determination and that brings you closer to your goals. This is how it works. But there are shortcuts. These so called shortcuts create imbalance to opportunities of others. But it does exist. So we can’t complain.

So why on earth would people push so hard to get what they want, to achieve their goals? The easy answer to this is that they want it so badly that they push hard to get it. To make sure that it would be in their hand. So now ask yourself, how badly do you want it? Those who tend to take things lightly normally have no goals thus making no effort whatsoever. Again, it depends.

origins of the new transmission.
I got the name for my blog from a song by the Lostprophets.

The song itself is entitled The New Transmission.

The song is about rising from failures, while making sure that you'll not fall again.
Sometimes all you need are changes to keep you moving. If you have been doing the same thing all this while, you need to add some spice to it and do something different. Maybe then you'll learn that life is not all that is seen. Open your eyes and look around, there might be something interesting that you'll see.
